Recently, the 2020 "Walking the Road of the Red Army" Hiking Activities (Guidong Station) and the first "Healthy Guidong" Mountaineering Competition, sponsored by Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and undertaken by Chenzhou Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau and Guidong County People's Government, were held in Santaishan Square, Guidong County.

More than 1200 outdoor sports enthusiasts from all over the country gathered in Guidong to participate in the competition. It was reported that in addition to the hiking experience group, there was also a 10km mountaineering group. More than 80 percent of the participants successfully completed the competition within 1.5 hours. Guo Dongdong, a contestant from Guidong county, took an hour and a minute to win the men's championship.
