This event consists of a short-distance group and a long-distance trekking group, with two hiking routes for them.

 

The one-day short-distance route, with a total length of 7 kilometers, starts from the county government center and ends at the Santaishan Square. The two-day long-distance route starts from the government center and ends at Hankou Village, with a total length of 37 kilometers. 

 

Guidong County is the first stop of this event, located in the easternmost part of Hunan Province, on the border of Hunan and Jiangxi Provinces, in the hinterland of the Luoxiao Mountains. 

 

 

 

With an average altitude of 890 meters, a forest coverage rate of 82%, a summer average temperature of 23.6 degrees Celsius and an average negative oxygen ion content of 46,000 per cubic centimeter, Guidong County is known as a wellness paradise and a summer resort.

 

Guidong County is a national demonstration area for ecological civilization construction and a famous county for wellness tourism in China. It has rich ecological resources and pleasant climate. 

 

Guidong County is also an important part of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base. It’s known as the birthplace of the mass line, the place where the first military regulations were issued, and the Red Army’s Long March towards western direction.
