Guiyang is known as “a city of champions” and has produced 12 Olympic, world, Asian, and national champions, including Li Ping, Yi Siling, Hou Zhihui, who have won a total of 462 medals, including 85 international gold medals, 75 national gold medals, and 123 provincial gold medals. 

 

Guiyang has successively won honorary titles such as “National Advanced County for Sports”, “National Advanced Collective in Sports System”, and “National Advanced Collective in Mass Sports”. 

 

This year, Hou Zhihui and Luo Shifang will participate in the Paris Olympics, and Shi Yiting from Guiyang County will compete in the Paralympics.
