On November 29, the First High Quality Agricultural Products Fair in Hunan-Jiangxi Border Region and the 2019 Hunan (Chenzhou) 5th Agricultural Products Expo were held in Chenzhou Convention and Exhibition Center. The two events, jointly sponsored by Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Areas, Jiangxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Areas and Chenzhou Municipal Government, attracted more than 800 enterprises and purchasers.

Yi Pengfei - Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Provincial Committee, Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, Ou Yanghuang - Deputy Secretary General of the Provincial Government, Liu Zhiren - Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor, and Luo Chenghui, Deputy Secretary of Zixing Municipal Committee and Mayor, participated in the activities.

With the theme of "production and marketing docking, cooperation and exchange", the Expo was divided into 9 exhibition areas, including domestic featured agricultural products exhibition area, high-quality agricultural products exhibition area in Hunan-Jiangxi Border Region, enterprises exhibition area in cities and prefectures in the province, and "Xiangjianyuan" vegetable exhibition area, with 1100 standard booths and nearly 10000 kinds of agricultural products.

The exhibition will last for 5 days, with rich contents, including the promotion of "Xiangganhong" brand agricultural products, the promotion of "Xiangjiangyuan" vegetables, the grand stage of beautiful countryside, and the grand prize of "visiting Chenzhou". On the opening day, a signing ceremony for key agricultural projects was held. Chenzhou City successfully signed 33 projects with a total investment of 9.255 billion yuan.

In recent years, Chenzhou City has made great efforts to build "four ten billion industrial chains" of vegetables, oranges, tea and pigs, and cultivated a batch of geographical indication products and national famous and featured agricultural products brands, such as Dongjiang tangerine, Yongxing candy orange, Rucheng Chaotianjiao, Linwu duck and Yuxiang noodles. At present, the city has 116 "two products and one standard" certification, and 245 leading agricultural industrialization enterprises above the municipal level.

Yi Pengfei said in his speech at the opening ceremony that the exhibition will further strengthen the docking of production and marketing of characteristic high-quality agricultural products and agricultural open cooperation and exchange in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces, especially in the border regions of Hunan and Jiangxi, and provide an important platform for helping industries to targeted poverty alleviation, building a well-off society in an all-round way, and promoting the construction of regional cooperation demonstration areas in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces.
 

At the opening ceremony, 33 investment projects involving agricultural and rural development were signed on site, with a total amount of 9354.5 million yuan. Among them, our city signed two projects, namely, Liuhuawan ecological agriculture project, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay high-quality vegetable production base project, with a total amount of 270 million yuan.
