It was learned from Chenzhou Transportation Bureau that Chenzhou city ranked the first place on Hunan provincial transportation management assessment and Hunan provincial rural roads construction management assessment. It was the second time for Chenzhou city to win this title.

Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government placed great attention on the promotion of transportation in 2013. Both half-hour and one-hour “traffic economic circle” were available in Chenzhou city, which facilitated it to be a transportation junction. At the meantime, Chenzhou city handled sound work on transportation construction, overload control, passenger transportation management, greening work, well-being service, etc. Some Hunan provincial promotion conferences on highway construction, overload control, integration of urban-rural passenger transport, etc. were held in Chenzhou city. Due to this sound improvement, many cities were attracted to share the construction experience with Chenzhou city.

It was introduced that 14.126 billion yuan transportation construction investment was finished in Chenzhou city in 2013, ranking the first place of Hunan province. Yanru expressway, Leiyi expressway, highway construction, and rural road construction projects were achieved with great results. At the meantime, the greening projects, lighting-up projects, civilized road construction projects, rural public bus station and public stops, upgrading projects for suburb areas, LNG or CNG new public bus operation and some other projects were handled out well. Furthermore, some special management activities were carried out by Chenzhou city to ensure the transportation safety of people. Chenzhou Highways Authority was awarded as national advanced unit of law-based administration.
