By seizing the chance to establish “four-oriented” type of office, Xifengdu town of Suxian district focus on the target to improve the service efficiency to upgrade the cadres’ construction and promote the comprehensive development of the town’s economy and society.

Service is the root for establishment of “four-oriented”type of office. Five projects were carried out along Xifengdu section of national road 107. Till now, some abandoned houses, pigsties, toilets and illegal buildings have been removed from the visual ranges of the national road, accounting for 64833 square meters construction areas. Some seedling bases were built there instead to forge the seedling landscape belts along the national road. At the meantime, a renovation project for Xihe river was promoted in the town as well with 10.60 million yuan. This project covered 2755meters of the river, once finished, it would be upgraded as an ecological channel with the functions of flood-control, sight-viewing and leisure. In 2013, Xifengdu town was awarded as one of the graceful towns of Hunan province; Xifengdu community village was awarded as national ecological village; Nanxiang village was awarded as Hunan provincial ecological village.

Xifengdu town tried innovative mechanisms on infrastructure construction. 1.8million yuan was collected to remould the trading tents. All tents were issued to market with open bidding. The annual renting fees increased to 0.6millon yuan which was two times of the one before renovation work. Furthermore, corporation management of the town’s sanitary work was carried out in the town to handle professional sanitary work in the town. In recent three years, 160million yuan was obtained from upper level government to promote 22 projects construction.

Focusing on serving for the people, Xifengdu town handled out different ways to communicate with people, such as visiting the Party members who suffered from poverty, releasing the contact cards and brochures, collecting people’s comments and suggestions, collecting more funds to solve local people’s problems, and etc.
