Letter of Intent for Sister City Relationship Signed between Chenzhou City, Saipan

Governor of Saipan visits Chenzhou city

 

A Saipan delegation of the Northern Mariana Island of United States visited Chenzhou city on December 20, 2012. The main purpose of this visit was mainly for investigating the general condition of Chenzhou economy and society while seeking for the chances of mutual cooperation on tourism, culture and other aspects and signing a letter of intent for establishing sister city relationship.

 

Zhang Xihui- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City met the Governor of Sapan EULOGIO SONGAO INOS and discussed the further cooperation between two cities. Zhang introduced to the Governor the general condition of Chenzhou city with its special geological, ecological resources and policy advantages. Zhang also remarked that it is helpful to enhance the communication and friendship between two cities by establishing the sister city relationship, and promoting the further cooperation between two cities on the tourism, trade, culture and other aspects. After the meeting, a letter of sister city relationship was signed between the two cities.

 

Saipan is the largest island of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), an unincorporated territory of the United States. The Commonwealth consists of a chain of fifteen tropical islands belonging to the Marianas archipelago in the western Pacific Ocean. Saipan is located at (15°10’51”N, 145°45’21”E) and has a total area of 44.55 sq mi (115.4 km2). It is worldwide popularized leisure tourism destination for its beautiful sceneries.

 

Prior to the meeting, the Saipan delegation investigated South Hunan logistic park and Dongjianghu lake sceneries.
