The leadership group conference of Chenzhou industrial park work was held on September 4, 2012. Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee- Mao Tenfei emphasized on the conference that government should forcefully boost the industrial park construction to guarantee Chenzhou fast economy development.

The attendants listened to the report on Chenzhou industrial park’s economy development and stable increase situation from January to July, and studied some issues like the expansion planning for Chenzhou provincial industrial park, adjustment to the area and management mechanism of Chenzhou industrial development zone, application for national high technology zone, etc.. Meanwhile, Chenzhou industrial park performance evaluation measures (enforcement regulations) were discussed and approved at the meeting.

From the beginning of 2012, Chenzhou industrial park’s economy kept a good development trend, gained a remarkable result on investment attraction, increased fast on the fixed capital investment and improved obviously on economy quality. For example, in the earlier 7 months of 2012, Chenzhou industrial park scale industry value increased by 27%, investment attraction amounting to 11.85 billion yuan, up 49.7%, fixed capital investment reached 19.09 billion yuan with an increase of 44.1%, and the paid taxes were up to 1.76 billion, up 42%.

After listening to the speeches delivered by the attendants, Mao Tengfei required that all the departments should pay high attention to accelerating the industrial park construction and make the industrial park to be the main part of undertaking industrial transfer, to be the increasing part of Chenzhou economy development, and to be the pioneer body of institutional innovation. Meanwhile, all the departments should make good planning for the industrial park’s future development by making the best use of Hunan province industrial park expansion plan to figure out Chenzhou Park’s development plan. For Chenzhou economy development zone, its construction and expansion areas should be confirmed at the soonest time on the basis of new concepts and international views. Guidong county and Suxian district should strengthen the force on applying for provincial concentration zone to forge the industrial park platform. Provincial parks need keep upgrading. Chenzhou high technology industrial park needs accelerating to be approved as national high-tech zone. Much more needs to be done to further enhance the function of the park, to speed up the undertaking industry, accelerate the introduction of the project, enhance the intensity of services, and promote the development of the park.
