“How bright the street is! Let’s go to dance!”- Villagers of Shijiang village, Chujiang, Linwu County cheered after the energy saving lamps were lighted up at night. On August 27, maglev complementary streetlights started to operate, and the above sight was witnessed then. Women and children in the village became as cheerful as a lark, dancing at the entrance to the village.

In 2012, Linwu County positively carried out the action of “Lighting up Linwu”. The main roads in the county and the villages with better basic conditions were planned to be installed with energy saving lamps. The county followed a correct way by formulating proper solutions to promote the lighting-up project. According to the budget, 1600 complementary energy saving lamps amounting to 27 million yuan would be invested on Lingui road, and Linwu section of Linjia road with the length of 55kms. After conquering various difficulties by fully collecting the required capitals, now all lamps have been basically installed, lighting up 8 counties and 14 villages along the roads.
