Recently, the list of top 50 most popular hidden treasure cities in the first half of this year was released. Chenzhou made the list. 

 

 

In Chenzhou, tourists can appreciate the magnificent Mangshan Mountain, Feitian Mountain, Danxia landform, mist-enveloped Dongjiang Lake, as well as cool Guidong County, Yangtian Lake, and Reshui Hot Spring with a water temperature of 98 degrees Celsius. 

 

 

Yangtian Lake Grassland is famous for its alpine meadows, with a peak of 1,314 meters and about 60,000 mu (4,000 hectares) of the rarest alpine grassland landscape in South China. 

 

 

 

The green grass period here lasts for 9 months. From March to November, the whole mountain range is covered with green grasses. Tourists are enchanted by mountains, grasslands, lakes and wetlands. 

 

 

 

The X124 Highway of Mahuangqiu is the most beautiful self-driving route in Chenzhou City.

 

 

Under the autumn sunshine, the Mahuangqiu is caramel colored, so romantic that it's beyond imagination.

 

Mahuangqiu Grand Canyon has a Danxia landform similar to Gaoyi Ridge. The mountain has been eroded to form a Danxia landform with gullies and ravines. There are no fences on the way up the mountain, making you feel as if walking on an endless sphere.

 

 

There is also a campsite on the roadside where people can gather and have a cup of coffee or an autumn picnic. 

 

 

In autumn, Chenzhou is scented with osmanthus. Hundreds of osmanthus trees of many varieties will bloom in Wangxianling Ecological Park during the Mid-autumn Festival. 

 

 

 

Guiyang Cultural Park is also a demonstrative comprehensive practice base and a study base. It’s perfect for parents to have an outing with their children in early autumn. 

 

 

The ancient county is composed of ancient buildings, with patterns on archways, eaves and beams painted by artists, reproducing the ancient charm.
