In the first half of this year, seven economic indicators of Chenzhou City ranked 1st in Hunan Province. They are the growth rate of GDP, the growth rate of fiscal revenue, the growth rate of full-caliber tax revenue, the growth rate of local tax revenue, the growth rate of total retail of consumer goods, the growth rate of actual utilization of foreign capital and the growth rate of per capita disposable income of all residents.
Six economic indicators ranked 2nd in Hunan Province. They are the fixed asset investment, the growth rate of imports and exports, the total volume of actual utilization of foreign capital, the growth rate of loans from financial institutions, the total number of tourists and the total tourism revenue.
Two economic indicators ranked 3rd in Hunan Province, namely the total volume of imports and exports and the total volume of actual domestic capital in place.
In the first half of this year, Chenzhou City innovatively carried out the “Project Campaign” and insisted on the project evaluation mechanism. A number of major and quality projects were signed, started and put into production.
In addition, many R&D centers, intelligent workshops and green projects continued to emerge.
According to the Hunan Provincial Statistics Bureau, Chenzhou’s GDP ranked 6th in Hunan in the first quarter, showing Chenzhou’s responsibility and commitment to stabilizing the province’s economy in general.
More than 20 promotional activities were held from the beginning of this year in order to activate consumers’ demand in a targeted and comprehensive way.
In the first half of 2022, Chenzhou City received 25,899,500 visitors, with a total tourism revenue of 26.298 billion yuan.
According to the customs statistics, Chenzhou City generated imports and exports of 22.261 billion yuan from January to June, with the total volume ranking 3rd in Hunan.
Among Chenzhou’s 406 foreign trade performance enterprises, 109 enterprises were expected to break “zero foreign trade” from January to June, including 18 production-oriented enterprises.
In the second quarter, the growth rates of Chenzhou’s main economic indicators were faster than expected. The figures were also faster than the same period last year and the previous period.
In the first half of this year, Chenzhou saw immediate results in the work of attracting investment and establishing projects. There were 669 projects (87 more than the same period last year), each of which was worth more than 100 million yuan, and 34 of them were provincial key projects. The city’s rate of completing investment plans ranked 5th in Hunan.
The growth rate of actual utilization of foreign capital ranked 1st in Hunan, the total volume of actual utilization of foreign capital ranked 2nd, and the total volume of actual domestic capital in place ranked the 3rd. Chenzhou introduced 14 projects of “global 500, top 500 enterprises in China and top 500 private enterprises” and 142 major investment projects. 57,700 market entities were newly registered, including 12,400 enterprise entities. The enterprise entities of the free trade zone (high-tech zone) grew by 3,347.
Since the establishment of the two joint commanding offices, Chenzhou has introduced 43 major investment projects, with a total investment of 26 billion yuan. At present, there are 97 major projects under negotiation.
Each of them is worth over 500 million yuan, with a total investment estimated to reach 178 billion yuan. Chenzhou has launched 101 outward investment activities and 394 inward investment activities.
The 5-day 10th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (CMGE) was visited by 220,000 people, with a total transaction volume of 1.75 billion yuan. 34 projects were signed during Chenzhou Entrepreneurs Forum.
The forum attracted an investment amounting to 61.076 billion yuan, involving various industries like batteries, intelligent manufacturing, big data and non-ferrous metals.
Among them, 20 projects were signed at the opening ceremony, with a total investment of 54.81 billion yuan.
According to statistics, Chenzhou Industrial Park accounts for 84.1% for industrial economy, which is 32.5 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
According to Chenzhou Finance Bureau, more than 70% financial resources of Chenzhou are spent in improving people’s livelihood. In the first half of the year, the growth rate of average disposable income of all urban residents in Chenzhou stood at 7%, ranking 1st in Hunan.
The ratio of urban and rural residents’ income was 2.28. The goal for new urban employment and employment of migrant workers exceeded the provincial target, and the urban survey unemployment rate was below 5.5.
More than 20 indicators of ten major projects for the benefit of the people have met the sequential schedule, and some projects have advanced the schedule.
In the following months, every effort will be made by Chenzhou to enhance the ability to tackle problems and create a favorable business environment. Chenzhou will endeavor to achieve fruitful results to greet the convocation of the 20th CPC National Congress.
