The former site of the general headquarters of the Red Army is located in Xiushui Village, Wenming Yao Township, Rucheng County. In early November 1934, the red army passed through the Department of Rucheng County during the long march.

According to the March arrangement, most of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army troops camped in Wenming Wuyi, Xiushui, Shazhou, Hantian, Wenshi, Shangzhang and other villages. The general headquarters of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was stationed at Zhu Yihui's home in Xiushui Village. The former site of the general headquarters of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was built in the sixth to eleventh year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1851-1861 A.D.), facing the east and the west, with three wide and blue brick houses. It is a typical ancient residential building in southern Hunan with exquisite architecture and exquisite workmanship. The building materials are mainly green brick, lime and wood. On the left and back of the old site, there are 11 ancient dwellings with similar architectural structure, which are arranged in two rows, roughly the same size, the same height, and aligned with each other. There are three carvings (wood carving, stone carving and brick carving), color painting and auspicious language on the outside of the house, which reflect the characteristics of the ancient dwellings in southern Hunan. According to the local old man Zhang Chengmao, at that time, the commander-in-chief of the Red Army Zhu De and other officers and soldiers camped and worked in Zhu Yihui's home. The Red Army soldiers camped in several houses on the left side and behind, and the houses on the right side were used for horses. Every night, the house of the general headquarters was ablaze with lights, and the radio waves were continuously transmitted. The Red Army commanders and fighters were busy every day and held meetings from time to time. The general headquarters of the Red Army of China's Workers and Peasants camped here for seven days before advancing in the direction of Yizhang County.
