All travelers who visit Dongjiag Lake are impressed with its clear water, vast lake surface, green mountains, and different shapes of islands. We visited there after hearing about its fame under this sound weather.

5:00am

In order to enjoy the amazing view of “foggy small Dongjiang”, we got up early and drove to Dongjiang lake from Chenzhou city in the early morning. Just about 30 minutes, we arrived at the gate of Dongjiang Lake landscape.

6:00am

We bought 124-yuan-B line tickets in the service center (PS: please do remember, it is B line ticket, otherwise, you may not enjoy the one-day trip as we did). The sun rose at that time, the mists of the lake surface congealed quietly. Blue sky, white cloud, green mountain, deep water, and dense fog, all of which formed a fantastic image to all of us. Along with the morning winds, the fog flew like a silk from the sky which covered on the surface of the small Dongjiang river. The fishers started their fishing work by boat in the early foggy morning. All of us were immersed into such comfortable image and did not want to leave even when the fog faded away.

9:30am
After enjoying the fantastic foggy small Dongjiang, we got on a tourism bus ( you can get up the tourism bus of the landscape at anytime with your landscape ticket) and arrived at our second stop of the journey- Longjing Canyon. We have heard about “18 falls of Longjing” for long time before we went there and it was also famous as “nesting zone of negative oxygen ions”-the largest natural oxygen bar of China.

We can see the ships which parked in the dock of Dongjiang Lake from the bottom of the mountain. On stepping into the canyon, the green trees, fresh air and comfortable sunshine made us feel joyful.
We finished the trip in Longjing Canyon at 11:50am and had lunch in the landscape.

After having lunch, we went to Doulv Island which is one of the most famous krast caves of the world.

I have went to Yangshuo years ago and still remembered the poor condition of the ferryboats operated there. But different from Yangshuo’s boats, Dongjiang Lake’s boats are with good condition that we can enjoy the beautiful view of the water. The feeling that “Dongjiang Lake’s scenery is the best of the world” aroused spontaneously on my mind. Yes, the best of the world if you can’t agree, please just come and check it by yourself.

We arrived at Doulv Island in 25 minutes. It is curious to me that the island is located in the middle of the lake and there is a giant krast cave in the hillside of islands( generally speaking, the cave is underground or on the surface). Another strange thing is that a temple both Buddhism and Taoism are respected is set there as well. Though it is summer, it is cold in the cave.

Different shapes of stalactites are available there. As introduced by the tour guide, only 1/6 of the cave has been explored till now. It needs about 40-60minutes to finish the trip in the krast cave, so I’d recommend the girls not to wear high heel during this travel. Though our team member- Nana just wear 5cm high heel, it was tired for her to finish the trip. We came out from the cave at 3:05pm and travelled along the path opened on the cliff under sunshine.

Something unexpected often happened on the travel. It rained when we visited Dongjiang Dam. But thanks to this rain, we saw the wonderland. Because a rainbow shown on the sky after the rain.

4:30pm

It was at dusk and the fogs began to cover the upstream of small Dongjiang. The sceneries were reflected by the foggy water surface which made us feel like in the fairyland. It is pale to tell the magic of nature. This fantastic scenery was really a great end to our journey of Dongjiang Lake.
