I’m an onlooker and diver on internet, but now I decide to share my three days and two nights trip to small Dongjiang of Chenzhou city, Hunan province during the National Day holiday.

As you know, everywhere is crowded during the National Day holiday. We did not want to go some too crowded places, so we chose small Dongjiang where is located near our home and is with more convenient transportation. I was attracted by small Dongjiang at the first sight when I read some netizens’ travel notes and saw their photos posted on www.mafengwo.cn.

Day1: 4-hour ordinary train, 53.5yuan, we arrived at Chenzhou railway station from Guangzhou city. You can also take high speed train. We did not hurry up to go to Dongjiang Lake landscape, so when we arrived there was 5:00pm. As you can imagine, many people have arrived there.

Dongjiang Lake is on the mountaintop. It is blocked by a dam and the water which flows down the hill is called small Dongjiang. If you want to enjoy a lake trip, you need to go to Dongjiang Lake, but if you want to enjoy the foggy scenery, you have to go to small Dongjiang. We lived in a private inn at first night. Because there is not enough vacancies available during the holiday, you can also choose some rural inns near the 2nd bridge and you do not need to walk too long distance to see the foggy scenery next morning. It was little bored to live in the mountain.

Day2: because the temperature difference was not so big in October, the fog is not as thick as we expected. There was just a thin film covered on the surface of small Dongjiang. The performance of falling net is 8:30am, 4-5 nets every time. If you want to watch more, you have to pay extra money for the fishermen. As heard from some visitors, they stayed there for 2 days. But because they did not satisfy with the effects of photographs, they would stay there for another day. Such kind of spirit was really great.

After taking the photos of foggy scenery and performance of falling net, we walked to the mountain. Different scenery was shown to us along the walking time. The fog has faded away, we can see the visitors in the bamboo raft clearly, which reminded me a feeling of “traveling in the pictorial world”.

We rented a speed boat with some other visitors to travel around Doushuai island. At the beginning, we worried about the 360yuan for 10minutes travel to Doushuai island would be too expensive, but actually it was little far from the dock to the island, especially for the speed was just 40kms/h. Wind and wave made us feel great for this journey. Of course, if it was a drop-top speed boat, it would be even great.

Day 3: we went back to Guangzhou city in the morning.

We were lucky to arrive there early, so we can took some pictures with fishing light. But the camera was not so good, so the effect was little poor…
