According to the No.1 notice of the Evaluation Committee of the State's Tourism Resource Planning and Development released on the official web of the State's Tourism Bureau that 15 scenic spots as Dongjiang lake which well met the standards ld national 5A landscape were approved to be national 5A landscape. Dongjiang lake is the exclusive one from Hunan province.

In order to establish Dongjiang lake to be national 5A landscape successfully, Chenzhou city launched the establishment project in 2011 and placed great amount of capitals to upgrade the facilities of Dongjiang lake scenic spot, including the shopping center, public toilets, small garden, pavilion, service center, docks, drifting service center, guide board, desks, and etc. The experts who attended the secret visit to Dongjiang lake which was held by The State's Evaluation Committee of Tourism Landscapes highly affirmed the construction of hardware handled out in Dongjiang lake and presented some suggestions on its further development. Followed the comments and suggestions, Dongjiang lake placed more attention on the upgrading of its hardware and software, which helped to further improve its quality. In the first half year of 2015, 466,800 visitors were received by Dongjiang lake, contributing to 23.7717million yuan total tourism revenue with the increase of 9.81% and 8.75% respectively.

It was introduced that currently there are four traveling routes available in Dongjiang lake as Line A, Line B, Line C and circle island tour with the ticket price as 80yuan/person, 124yuan/person, 318yuan/person, and 200yuan/person. As stated by the principal of Dongjiang lake, though the landscape was approved to be the national 5A landscape, the ticket price would not be increased in 2015. If it is necessary in future, the adjustment of price would be followed relative rules of the State Price Control Bureau.
