On July 18, 2013, deployment and press conference for selection of“new eight scenic spots of Chenzhou city” was held in the meeting room of Chenzhou Cultural Center. The selection activity was sponsored by Chenzhou creating office, Chenzhou Folk Artists Association and undertaken by Chenzhou Net, which was purposely to select out eight most beautiful scenic spots of Chenzhou central urban area (including all the area covered into 2009-2030 Chenzhou city’s general plan). All the scenic spots would be named by the naming rule as old scenic spots. At the meantime, paper collection activity for the new scenic spots and rewards selection activities as “best literary award”, “best photography award”, and “best name award” would be carried out together with the selection activity. Once finished, the selection office would issue the list of “new eight scenic spots of Chenzhou city” which was followed the ranking of experts evaluation rate and public vote result (each covering 50%).

On the conference, Xie Yuan’an – Deputy Director of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee announced the “solution for selection of eight new scenic spots of Chenzhou city”, Lei Chenyong- Vice Chairman of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC declared the “notice for hiring the experts for selection of eight new scenic spots of Chenzhou city”, Cao Xingda- Former Vice Chairman of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC, commissioner of Chenzhou “three establishments” supervision office, and team leader of experts group of the selection introduced the experts who would attend the evaluation work and declared relative selection rules and disciplines concerned for the activity, and Zi Bocheng- Deputy team leader of Chenzhou creating office announced the establishment of selection office, division of work for all staffs and deployment of current work. Zhang Aiguo- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City and team leader of the selection team delivered an important speech at the end of the conference. He mobilized all citizens to join in establishing more beautiful home land and selecting out their favorite eight scenic spots of Chenzhou city.

A press conference was held afterward. The press spokesmen of Chenzhou creating office, Chenzhou Cultural Bureau, Chenzhou Tourism Bureau, Chenzhou Folk Artists Association and Chenzhou Net answered the questions listed by the journalists.
