It is a traditional activity for many Chenzhou people to climb Suxianling in the Spring Festival. Ringing the safe bell, venerating incense, hanging red belt on the wishing tree, and climbing to the top, all of those are to pray for the good luck for a new year.

In the first day of Chinese lunar New Year, many citizens and tourists who came from some other places came to Suxianling under such good weather. Most of them were together with their family members to enjoy the good time. Duan Xuejun- one of the residents of Suxian district came their and light up the first incense of the New Year to make best wishes for all his beloved. Duan excitedly shared his feelings with the reporters that: “it is the first day of Chinese lunar New Year, all my family members climbed to the top of Suxianling to enjoy the most fresh air of the New Year and pray for good luck of the New Year as well.”

Many visitors could not help taking photos of the beautiful sceneries. Ancient trees, Chinese traditional architectures, Suxian legend, Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team, and other natural and historical viewings available in Suxianling enabled the visitors not only to enjoy a sound trip, but feel like to be blessed with the lucky of the place as well.
