Ancient dwellings, blooming lotus flowers, beautiful sunny day, 2017 Chenzhou (Summer) Rural Tourism and Culture Festival was opened under such great atmosphere in Liuhuawan Landscape of Sandu, Zixing City. Liu Zhiren- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City attended the opening ceremony and delivered an address there.

This festival was followed the theme of “meeting in Zixing, enjoy country life in Liuhua”. It was sponsored by Chenzhou Government, undertaken by Chenzhou Tourism and Foreign Affairs Bureau, Zixing Municipal Party Committee, and Zixing Government, and was executed by Hunan Media Group. Focusing on the improvement of tourism brand “Splendid Xiaoxiang, Different Chenzhou” and the tourism concept of “Home Town of Longevity Buddha, Ecological Zixing City”, the festival was purposely to promote the improvement of Zixing tourism and culture industry and establishment of national demonstration of popular tourism.

Liu Zhiren said the rural tourism and culture festivals differed on four seasons were being kept held in Chenzhou City from last year. The influence of the festivals was gradually upgraded, which became an important platform for popularizing the rural tourism products of Chenzhou City, as well as improving the development of rural tourism industry. Liuhuawan Village integrated the ancient style of dwellings and elegant favor of lotus, which presented a nice landscape of southern China riverside towns. It is an important achievements reached by Zixing City on promoting the development of popular tourism.

Liu Zhiren also stated that Zixing City is rich with natural sceneries and cultures, such as the exclusive national 5A landscape of Chenzhou City- Dongjiang Lake, foggy small Dongjiang River, Huilong Mountain, and etc. Liu sincerely hoped that Zixing Municipal Party Committee and Zixing Government can play the best roles of the resources and further improve its popular tourism industry via this festival and then contribute more experience to the promotion of Chenzhou and Hunan Province’s tourism.

On the opening ceremony, Shou Jianzhong- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and First Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City awarded the plaque of “2016 Pioneer County (District) of Hunan Provincial Popular Tourism” to Zixing City. Tang Jianchu who is the Member of Party Group of Hunan Agriculture Commission and Chief Agronomist said Liuhuawan is fine miniature of Hunan provincial improvement of beautiful rural area. Tang hoped Chenzhou City can contribute more to the development of rich, beautiful, and happy Hunan Province via holding the rural festivals.

A live-action performance was held on the opening ceremony, including four parts as searching for ancient relics in Liuhua, relaxing on countryside, enjoying lotus flowers, and meeting in Zixing City. The great advantages of Zixing tourism resources were highly displayed on the performance. Another 3-day Rural Inn Exhibition will be held on Sanyuan Village and Muguatang. Some different folk culture performances as Spring Cattle Dance, Chinese Shadow Puppetry, and etc. would be shown on the festival as well.

Some principals from Hunan provincial subordinate departments, and Li Ping, Zhang Aiguo, and some other municipal leaders attended the opening ceremony. Feng Haiyan- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of Chenzhou Propaganda Department hosted the ceremony.
