On May 23, the reporter learned from the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the 13th National Games Marine Modeling Qualifier will be held in Siqing Lake, Baohe Yao Village, Beihu District, Chenzhou City from 28th to 30th this month.

Siqing Lake has a water area of more than 2400 mu, more than 1,800 mu of forest area, with beautiful hills and waters, and good surface water environment. In recent years, in order to further promote the popular science education of young people and popularize scientific and technological knowledge, Chenzhou set up the Siqing Lake Youth Activities Center in Beihu District in 2015, built the robot, simulated flight, remote control ship model, UAV and other teaching experience rooms, created the safe teaching, popular science experience, military experience and other key sections, and held the first city and Beihu Lake primary and junior high school students marine modeling competition. Last year, this center was named the Hunan science popularization base and Hunan youth model activity camp.

It was reported that the State Sports General Administration announced the competition events of 13th National Games in March this year, including aviation and marine modeling project entering the National Games again after a lapse of 24 years. The Municipal Committee and Government attached great importance to actively strive for the host right of maritime modeling qualifier, and received the approval to host the qualifier from the State Sports General Administration in April, which is an important event hosted by Hunan Province in the 13th National Games. This qualifier includes 5 competition events of lightweight chase (FSR-V7.5), standard-level chase (FSR-V15), heavyweight chase (FSR-V27), 1-meter remote-controlled sailing (F5-E), and standard-level remote-controlled sailing (F5-M). The 23 teams from all over the country will win the final "tickets" of the National Games which will be held in Tianjin in July.
