On May 25, the Chenzhou First Municipal Organs & Institutions Sports Meeting officially opened. More than a thousand workers and staff from the city organs and institutions directly under the city as competitors will be in fierce contention around several sports events during the sports meeting.

In recent years, Chenzhou has hosted the major sporting events at home and abroad and also held the first city games and other major sports events in the process of creating sports city. Holding this sports meeting aims to thoroughly implement the "National Fitness Implementation Plan (2016-2020)" to show the fruitful achievements of creating sports city and the mental outlook of the cadres and workers of the municipal organs and institutions, and promote the nationwide fitness activities of the municipal organs and institutions.

It was understood that more than 1,800 workers from 93 municipal organs, institutions and the other province organs and institutions in Chenzhou participated in the sports meeting. It includes 7 competition events of basketball, air volleyball, table tennis, badminton, Go chess, chess and broadcasting gym, and will last10 days.
