On June 3, the 4th Shuijinwo Bayberry Festival was held in Yuxi Town Yizhang County, in which the challenge of "Bayberry King" attracted the audiences.

At the event site, 8 farmers participated in the challenge of "Bayberry King". They carefully selected the largest bayberries to weigh and Wang Hualin won the "Bayberry King" with 30 dark plums at 550 grams finally. During the event, the thousand parties in southern Hunan and northern Guangdong, "I spoke for Shuijinwo bayberry" chi-pao show, happy farm trip, "I want to eat bayberries" WeChat activity, bayberry knowledge prizes quiz and other colorful activities were held.

It was understood that the Shuijinwo Bayberry is famous for its thick and soft flesh, juice, small core and sweet taste. Shuijinwo Village has bayberry planting area of more than 12000 mu, with an annual output of 7.5 million kilograms. The Shuijinwo Bayberry Industry Association was set up in Yizhang County and directly drived local farmers to grow bayberry with the new business model of "cooperatives + base + farmers". In recent years, through cooperation with universities in Hunan, the association actively carried out the bayberry fresh-keeping technology research. After low temperature and vacuum packing, fresh bayberry can be preserved for a long time and sold to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places.
