On April 2, the head of the Anren County Tourism Service Center introduced that the county received more than 700,000 tourists during the period of the 24 Solar Terms, the Anren Ganfenshe and the 10th Cole Flower Festival, the tourism comprehensive income of 350 million yuan, an increase of 21.3% and 20.4% respectively.

Anren County is a traditional agricultural county, a total of more than 420,000 mu of arable land, including more than 10 rice field bases over 10,000 mu. In order to give full play to the advantage of good farmland resources, in addition to the two-season rice planting, the county has popularized the "third season" cole flower cultivation and formed the "rice - rice - oil" cultivation mode in recent years. For cole flower planting area, the county has planned 2 core areas,6 demonstration areas and 10 scenic spots, introduced the "five unified, classified subsidy" cole flower extension mechanism, uniformly turned over fields, raised seedlings, etc., and popularized the direct seeding technology of machine tillage. The county also arranges 10 million yuan to give the planting subsidy and the reward according to the core area, demonstration area, scenic spot area and other classification each year, especially for poor households, 200 yuan of extra subsidy per mu to mobilize the farmers' enthusiasm for cole flower cultivation. Nearly 260,000 mu of cole flowers were planted in the county and the yield was expected to reach 140kg per mu, increasing the income of more than 400 yuan each mu for farmers.

In order to promote the further upgrading of the cole flower industry, Anren County has promoted the "three combinations" of targeted poverty alleviation, rural tourism and ecological agriculture, and turned the cultivated farmland into parks, gardens and "wetland parks", not only making rice fields glow with new vitality, but also promoting the construction of rural ecology. The county's Rice Field Park, built in 2014, received more than 1 million visitors at that year. The county has built more than 20 rural scenic spots, driving the rapid development of rural tourism. In March 26th, 2018, the county was selected for the third batch of key counties in Hunan province.

Anren cole flowers have opened the "butterfly effect" and the local cole flower industry and its leisure tourism industry have become the main industry to get out of poverty, benefiting for many poor people. In February this year, the tourism poverty alleviation model from "Pastoral" to "Park" in Anren County was selected as one of the 34 typical cases of the new concept of poverty alleviation and development by the Central Organization and the State Council Poverty Alleviation Office, recommended in the whole country.
