Linwu County has implemented the strategy of strengthening tourism counties, and taken planting and developing crape myrtles as a project to improve forest quality, beautify urban and rural areas, and develop tourism industry to benefit the people. Since 2015, the county has invested more than 200 million yuan in the development and planting of Yumeitan Crape Myrtle Park, Huanglong Mountain Botanical Garden and county parks, planting more than 1 million crape myrtle plants. Through the careful cultivation of gardeners everywhere, crape myrtles branch flourish and flowers blossom, forming a "crape myrtle world, ecological scenic spot" tourism characteristics.

The "Crape Myrtle World" project, which covers an area of 2,000 mu, mainly focuses on crape myrtle culture. It has 28 landscapes, such as crape myrtle gallery, crape myrtle bridge, lotus pond, crape myrtle villa and wedding square, which is a comprehensive agricultural and forestry project integrating tourism, ecological leisure, wedding, festival, popular science, photography and flower and tree production.
