1.05 billion yuan central natural disaster living subsidies was allocated to 8 provinces such as Shanxi, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, and Shanxi province (autonomous region and municipality) by Finance Ministry and Civil Affairs Ministry of China., which was used for urgent situation, transitional life assistance, restoration and reconstruction, solatium and other support issues for victims suffering from storm flood and typhoon disasters. More exactly, the disaster relief fund will be used to settle relocated residents, subsidize the daily needs of disaster-affected people, rebuild houses and provide pensions for the relatives of the deceased, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

So far, 4.49 billion yuan accumulated subsidies for natural disasters have been issued by the Finance Ministry and Civil Affairs Ministry to help the victims solve the problems of basic lives. Departments concerned must make every effort to help rebuild homes for disaster affected citizens and the disaster relief fund must be properly used in a frugal and efficient manner.
