It was learned from the seventh session of the sixth Hunan overseas Chinese federation standing committee conference that 70% of Chenzhou oversea investments were from oversea Chinese, Hongkong and Macau investors. Party group secretary and Deputy Chairman of Hunan Oversea Federation- Lining, Chairman of Hunan Oversea Federation- Caoya and Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee-Mao Tengfei were presented at the conference.

There are 74000 oversea Chinese in Chenzhou, among who 87 are returned oversea Chinese, 51000 relatives of oversea Chinese, Hongkong and Macau Chinese, and 23000 oversea Chinese, Hongkong and Macau Chinese. Yongxing County, Suxian district and Yizhang county of Chenzhou city have much more oversea Chinese. Yongxing County is one of the top three oversea Chinese counties in Hunan province. In recent years, more and more oversea Chinese tend to invest in Chenzhou city. There have been a batch of projects settling down in Chenzhou with more than 10 billion yuan investment, such as Xiaobu ancient village, Nanling ecological city, Omega hotel, Xuhui gas, Royal furniture, etc.. Oversea Chinese, Hongkong and Macau investors take 80% of Chenzhou oversea investment, which forcefully promotes Chenzhou’s economy and social development.

On the conference, the attendants were conveyed with the spirits from the seven session of the eighth China oversea standing committee conference. Meanwhile they shared the opinions on how to strengthen and improve the oversea federation working. Mao Tengfei expressed his sincere appreciation for holding this session of oversea federation conference and introduced the current situation in Chenzhou to all the attendants. Mao required the staff of Chenzhou Oversea Federation should seize the chance to learn more advanced working experience from other cities, unit the returned oversea Chinese and their relatives, contact the oversea Chinese, implement its functions well, and serve for the oversea Chinese, striving to create the new situation of the oversea federation working.
