2012 “Loving edu-aid, Fall edu-aid, Productive care” – one million yuan student subsidies issuing conference was held in Chenzhou. 383 poverty college freshmen were subsided with about one million yuan, among who 9 students were funded with 5000 yuan/year, while others with 3000 yuan/year.

There were 383 students benefiting from this edu-aid activity, among who 6 students were subsided by Chenzhou Tongan Pharmaceuticals, 3 students by Leader league, 61 students by “fall edu-aid” funds of Chenzhou federation of trade union, education bureau and education foundation, 35 students by the funds of “productive care, loving edu-aid” of Chenzhou family planning office and Chenzhou education foundation, 8 students by the special funds listed by Chenzhou education foundation and Chenzhou Yuteng non-ferrous company, and 270 students by the special funds listed by Chenzhou education foundation.

It was learned that Chenzhou education foundation had kept improving “loving edu-aid” activity from 2004. Till now, after 9 years’ development, it becomes one of the famous programs in Hunan province. According to the activity plan, 400 college freshmen will be subsidized. Now the amount of the first batch comes to 385 students. Then there will be 100 college students, 600 senior high school students, 200 compulsory education students next stage. All are within the 1.1 million yuan subsidies range.

Lei Xiaoda- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou city highly affirmed the work handled by Chenzhou education foundation, and appealed all the Party committees and governments to pay high attention to this “loving edu-aid” activity. Meanwhile he expressed his hope for the subsidized students who can study hard and contribute to the society after their graduation.
Chenzhou municipal leaders- Li Xiping, He Jianxiang and Xu Shidian, and some retired former cadres were presented at the conference.
