On April 17, 2013, the Deputy Governor of Hunan Province- Han Yongwen took an investigation trip on the small town construction work handled by Chenzhou city. Qu Hai-Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City accompanied Han with this trip.

Han visited Wangxian town firstly and had a chat with the village officer to learn more details as the land transaction condition, villager’s income, main means of living for the villagers, etc..

Han highly affirmed the village’s work after learning that villager’s annual income has been increase to 12628yuan with the development of tourism ecology leisure agriculture. Han stated that as a key carrier for the overall integration development of urban and rural areas, small town construction should be improved together with farmer’s increase of income, tourism development, new rural construction and other issues. At the meantime, more attention should be paid on the employment of farmers and infrastructure construction to increase their income and upgrade their living condition.

After years efforts, Chenzhou city’s urbanization rate was up to 45.2% in 2012 with higher city level. Han highly affirmed the small town construction work handled by Chenzhou city and encouraged it to do better in future.

Han visited Xihe Wetland Park construction site on this trip as well. Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city accompanied Han with this trip.
