Peng Shian- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Political Commissar of Chenzhou Sub-Military Region led a team to investigate the poverty alleviation work handled in Zhongxin village, Rucheng county on April 18, 2013. Peng stated that more funds should be paid on the urgent projects concerned for the upgrading of people’s living condition.

Zhongxin village is one of Hunan provincial level and Hunan Military Region “2211” project’s poverty alleviation development villages. Lacking of technology and marketing awareness, the traditional production model was kept in the village which caused the abundant forest resources undeveloped and no large scale special industries available. So the income of villagers was just 1620 yuan in 2012.

Peng and his team visited the village and discussed the detailed alleviation plan with the officials of the village. Peng pointed out as one of Hunan Military Region “2211” project’s poverty alleviation development villages, both sub-military region and village should pay more efforts to seize the chance to improve the development of the village with limit funds. Especially for the officials of the village should take active behaviors to lead the villagers join in the construction of poverty alleviation projects with sound planning. At the meantime, villagers’ cultural quality should be upgraded to improve the environment condition of the village.
