Qu Hai investigated Yizhang county for its flood control and tourism development work

On June 2, 2013, Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenznhou City led a team to investigate Yizhang county’s flood control and tourism development work. Qu stated that flood control awareness should be enhanced to carry out the working measure and make sure the safety during this flood season.

Qu and his team checked the flood control work handled by Linziping reservoir which was finished in 1997 with 10.20million cubic meters storage capacity and normal water level 1265 meters. Among all the reservoirs of Hunan province, it was located in the highest elevation. To make sure its safety condition, reinforcement project of this reservoir was carried out in 2009 and approved in 2012.

Qu carefully listen to the working report delivered by the principal of Yizhang County Party Committee and Yizhang County Government and stated out some requirements on preparation of the flood control work in next step. He pointed that enhanced flood control awareness should be firmly established in all the staffs’mind; strengthened flood control measures should be carried out; and more strict responsibility system should be intensified on the cadres and staffs to ensure the safety of flood season.

Besides investigating the flood control work, Qu and his tem checked some other projects as Mangshan mountain tea planting base, Mangshan mountain Forest Spa Hotel, greening work along the tourism roads, tourism industry plan, reform and development of Mangshan Mountain National Forest Authority, etc.. It was introduced that the total revenue of Mangshan Mountain National Forest Authority was hit 62.34 million yuan, among which was 47.50 million yuan operating income, covering 10.96 million yuan ticket proceeds.

Qu said, it was with a great expectation for further development of Mangshan mountain tourism industry, so all the departments should work together to figure out the comprehensive tourism development plan to promote its sound and sustainable improvement. At the meantime, tourism product quality and service level should be upgraded to forge a worldwide famous leisure tourism resort with unique local features.
