Peng Guoqing- member of Hunan Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee and Deputy Director of Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Congress led an investigation team to visit Chenzhou city recently. The key work for their trip was to check the development condition and poverty alleviation work of Chenzhou section of Luoxiao mountainous area.

Peng and his team visited the counties of Luoxiao mountainous area during these investigation days and carefully listened to the working report delivered by Chenzhou city.

A symposium was held on June 21, 2013. On the conference, Peng and the team members learned more details concerned about the progress for some poverty alleviation projects of Luoxiao mountainous area. More chances were available for Rucheng, Guidong, Yizhang, Anren and other counties surrounded this area after the implementation of “alleviation plan of Luoxiao mountainous area”. But as mentioned by the representatives, because more provincial supports were placed on the 31 counties in Wuyishan mountainous area, the four counties in Luoxiao mountainous area were with more urgent problems which should be solved urgently.

Peng highly affirmed the poverty alleviation work handled out in this area. He also promised that the problems listed or presented out during their investigation would be submitted to relative upper level departments and ask them to solve it at the soonest time accordingly.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the conference.
