An investigation team led by Guo Xiuhong- Deputy Director General of Hunan Provincial Finance Ministry visited Chenzhou city on July 4, 2013. It was mainly for checking the urbanization progress and operation of fiscal policy funds of Chenzhou city, and discussing more ideas on the support of further urbanization construction.

In that morning, Guo and his team members visited Chenzhou Municipal Planning Bureau, Zixing city, Heping village of Suxian district to check the urbanization construction, population, resource, industry, planning and other details of Chenzhou city. Great achievements were reached by Chenzhou city in recent year, such as the urbanization rate was increased from 36.8% to 45%, Guiyang and Yongxing county were listed in top ten counties of Hunan county economy, Jiahe county was listed as one of the advanced counties of Hunan county economy, and etc.

A symposium was held in the afternoon after the team’s detailed investigation on site. Some ideas on the support of further urbanization construction and reports of the urbanization progress and its current conditions delivered by relative principals of Chenzhou cities and counties were discussed on the conference. Chen Shezhao- President of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC tried to apply more central and provincial financial support on the infrastructure construction of urbanization and on small towns, and apply more favorable policies on some special zones.

Guo stated that the team would hold further study on Chenzhou city’s experience of urbanization construction and comments listed by the relative principals after carefully listening to the reports and discussion on the conference.
