The eighth meeting of forth session standing committee of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC was held on July 23, 2013. It was mainly for listening to the update economic report issued by Chenzhou government.

It was considered that Chenzhou city kept a sound economic development trend in the first half year of 2013. Most of economic indexes were better than Hunan provincial average level and the cities around city. More objective and specified measures should be carried out in the second half year under current situation to ensure all the annual targets can be fulfilled on time.

Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee highly affirmed the work handled out by Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC in the first half year, especially for the investigation and suggestions presented for promoting the development of Chenzhou city. Liu stated that both Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government paid highly attention on all the efforts tried by Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC and they would carefully study all the achievements reached by Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC to apply them to the arrangement of relative work. At the meantime, a better working condition would be further upgraded for Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC.

Some bills (drafts) were approved on the conference, and some issues concerned for the personnel were discussed and approved there as well.

Chen Shezhao- Chairman of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC hosted the meeting. Zhang Aiguo- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City addressed the update economic report at the meeting. Members of chairman meeting of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC attended the meeting.
