It was the time for cadres to serve for the masses under such hard condition

Qu Hai- Deputy Director of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City took investigation on drought-relief and water conservation work on August 1, 2013. It was required during his investigation that it was the time for cadres to serve for the masses under such hard condition. All the cadres and party members should upgrade their working style to help to solve the problems for the masses.

Due to this severe drought, people in some villages of Beihu district were suffered with lacking of drinking water. Qu Hai led an investigation team to visit the villages and check the detailed living and production conditions of the villagers. Dingshang village was in a relative high geographic position. Some of its drinking water sources were drained and grape base were with serious cut yield under such severe drought condition. To make sure the safety of drinking water of the village, drinking water would be delivered to the village two times every day. Qu stated that all efforts should be played on the supply of water for people’s daily life and production. It was a good chance to check the working style of cadres and their ability and sincerity to serve for people under such condition.

Qu Hai also visited Chenzhou Water Supply Company to check the detailed scheduling work handled out in Chenzhou city. It was introduced that the daily production capacity for Chenzhou urban area was 0.34 million tons which can meet the daily life demand of people. Except some places in relative high position, all the rest parts were under normal water supply. Some water works were with abundant water sources to ensure the sufficient water supply of peak season of this summer. Qu said all the departments should try to meet people’s demand by carrying out measures scientifically. At the meantime, strengthened propaganda work should be promoted to encourage people to save water. 

Afterward, Qu and his team visited the State Grid Corporation of China Chenzhou Branch to check the electricity scheduling of Chenzhou grid net. Currently, Chenzhou city’s electricity supply was under a normal operation condition which helped to guarantee the electricity demands on handling drought-relief work. Qu asked that the electricity departments should take more attention on the supervision and scheduling to ensure the safety of electricity supply and support the drought-relief work carried out in Chenzhou city currently.
