It was reported that a promotion conference of Chenzhou city was held on August 23, 2013. It was purposely to introduce Chenzhou city to the investigation group of DRC- Stanford Student Association. Hou Yunchun- Deputy Director of Development Research Center of the State Council, Wang Tong- Chairman of Management Committee of China Green Energy Development Foundation and Director of Research Center of Chinese Society and Economy, He Baoxiang-Vice Governor of Hunan Province, Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City attended the conference.

“DRC-Stanford”was a “cultivation plan of Chinese new enterprise leaders” launched by Development Research Center of the State Council and Stanford University in 2003. More than 800 key enterprises leaders from over 30 industries were benefited from this plan.

Wang Tong- Chairman of Management Committee of China Green Energy Development Foundation and Director of Research Center of Chinese Society and Economy stated that as the key base of national undertaking industrial transfer demonstration area, reproduction base of national rare metals, demonstration base of national circular economy, etc., it was expectable for Chenzhou city’s new achievements in near future by playing best roles of its local resources advantages. Wang also promised that the management committee would try their best to assist Chenzhou city’s further development.

He Baoxiang-Vice Governor of Hunan Province said that: “Hunan province is on the process for further development with its unique advantages of talents, location, resources and transportation.” As the south gate of Hunan province and the key base of south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer, Chenzhou city was with a sound development trend and full of chances. Sincerely hope more investment can be placed in Chenzhou city to reach win-win development in future.

Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee delivered a speech on the promotion conference. Xiang said, as the hot spring city of China and excellent tourism city of China, Chenzhou was with sound advantages of resources, location, ecology and development, which attracted more investment worldwide. Sincerely hope more suggestions could be presented by the investigation group during their journey in Chenzhou to upgrade Chenzhou city’s further development.
