When reporters arrived at Dongfeng Middle School where is about 60kms away from Yizhang county downtown, they were attracted by the new beautiful building in the school. It was introduced by the teachers there that it was the new public rental house for the teachers. All 24 units of this building were followed with specified standards to carry out the design. The houses property ownership belongs to the school, which is as state-owned property, but they were managed and maintained by the school and teachers who were facilitated with the houses. Mr. Fang who was one of the teachers obtained one unit of the houses said excitedly to the reporters: “the house means the family for us. With the house and the family, we can enjoy our work better. ”

In recent years, more than 700 teachers were introduced to handling the teaching issues in rural schools of Yizhang county by different ways. But more rural teachers there, more prominent problem for lacking of houses was extruded in rural areas. Some teachers have to rent the house from local villagers or lived with many teachers together in one small house less than 30 square meters.

In order to solve this problem, 48.40 million yuan funds were collected by Yizhang county with different methods to handle the construction work of 1000 units of public rental houses for the teachers. Currently, 600 units have been finished by 28 rural schools, covering about 24,000 square meters, which benefit 580 teachers lacking of houses.
