It was learned from Rucheng Orchid Association that Rucheng cymbidium ensifolium won the exclusive golden award of Hunan province in the eighth China Flower Expo. Some other orchids selected by this county won silver award, bronze award and excellence award separately. It was introduced that Rucheng orchid industry was promoted rapidly in recent years. Till now more than 50 growers of orchid are available in Rucheng county. They helped to promote the orchid planting areas to be more than one hundred mu with annual income of over 20,000 yuan per mu. Orchid industry becomes a new way to increase income of local people.
