Currently, Chenzhou Government released a notice on prohibiting fishing in some areas, including Chenjiang River, Tongxin River, Yanquan River, Donghe River, and Xihe River. The behaviors which are dangerous to public safety and fishing resources are forbidden there. The urban section of Chenjiang River from Wangxian Lake Bridge to Buliping Ring Bridge, urban section of Yanquan River, and the section from Zhujiang Bridge to Liuxian Lake Bridge of Xihe River which are spawning fields and migration channels of fishes are prohibited for fishing.

As stated on the notice, following behaviors are forbidden on those areas: fishing on the bridges, dams, water gates, high voltage lines, and areas with warning signs; ships, bamboo raft, inflatable raft, and some other tools with potential risks are not allowed to get access to the rivers; fish baits which are poison or potential to pollute the water are forbidden; some fishing tools which are dangerous to public safety are forbidden; illegal construction of fishing facilities which are risky for flood control and urban sceneries are forbidden; behaviors may affect the green lands or public facilities along the rivers are forbidden.

People who break above rules will be handled according to the law. Some behaviors confirmed to be criminal would be transferred to judicial authorities to pursue criminal liability.
