Recently, the author learned from the Dongjiang Water Diversion Project Headquarters, Dongjiang Diversion Project Water Plant Program was undergoing excavation and removal of earth and stone, the water pipeline land ownership was in the process of confirmation and water pipeline laying will start.

In the Xiawu Group, Xinghong Village, Dongjiang Street, Zixing City, the staff of the Land Acquisition and Relocation Office were carrying out land area measurement with the local villagers and there were 11 kilometers in the water pipeline of Dongjiang Water Diversion Project need to rent the land of local villagers. At present, the scope of the lease has been marked with a red line.

Chief Engineer of Dongjiang Water Diversion Project Water Plant Program Li Tingsheng introduced that because many villagers planted fruit trees and green trees within the scope of red line, the villagers hoped that the staff can accurately measure their own land range. After the completion of the land ownership next month, the project department will sign a lease agreement with the village group and then the pipeline laying work will start.

Dongjiang Water Diversion Project plans to take water from the water tower which is 460 meters away from the right bank of Dongjiang dam, by 6.1 km diversion tunnel, and diverts the Dongjiang water from the reservoir area to the water plant for purification. At present, the water plant has begun excavation and removal of earth and stone.

Li Tingsheng said that because of the rainy season, the stonework excavation schedule was delayed for 20 days and are working overtime to rush deadlines now. The whole earth excavation and removal work will end in mid April, the work will focus on the construction of main body after three months, and then the flocculation sedimentation tanks, water tanks and air-water backwash filter will be constructed.

It was understood that after the completion of Dongjiang Water Diversion Project Water Plant Program, the purified Dongjiang water will be piped to the Shanhe Water Plant, then flow by gravity and transport to Chenzhou and Zixing city, and supply to Guiyang city through two-stage pressurized. Dongjiang Water Diversion Project, water pipeline length of 103 km, is expected to be completed in December this year.
