On the morning of May 25, 2017 Chenzhou Anti-drug Work Meeting was held in Zixing City. Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Mayor and City Anti-drug Director Liu Zhiren asked to unswervingly fight the war against drug to escort the healthy development of city's economy and society and create a stable and peaceful social environment for the successful opening of 19th CPC National Congress.

Before the meeting, the participants visited the construction of Zixing community security prevention and control system, grid management of community drug addicts, community drug rehabilitation and other work. At the meeting, three units of Chenzhou Education Bureau, Zixing City, and Yongxing County reported the advanced experience in anti-drug work through the video reports. The meeting informed the relief and new areas to carry out the classification and regulation for anti-drug work in whole province, the anti-drug performance evaluation results of Hunan Province Narcotics Committee in 2016, and decided to focus on drug control in 11 townships (streets).

Liu Zhiren pointed out that the anti-drug work is related to the future and fate of individuals, happiness and happiness of families, prosperity and stability of society, and revitalization and decadence of nationality. Anti-drug is the consistent position and advocacy of Party and the government, and the departments at all levels, especially leading cadres must attach great importance to it.

Liu stressed that fully understand the seriousness of the anti-drug situation, earnestly enhance the sense of urgency, sense of responsibility and mission, conscientiously implement the series of important instructions on drug control work by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and firmly fight and win the war against drug control according to the decision-making and arrangements of Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.

Liu stressed that we must always keep anti-drug and fully eradicate the spread of the drug problem. For the drug problem, we should adhere to the "zero tolerance", crack down without hesitation, address both the symptoms and root cause, fully cover without leaving dead ends, and completely eradicate the spread of the drug problem.

Liu stressed to fully implement the socialization of anti-drug work, and resolutely win a new round of war against drug. We must clear the responsibility, build a party-government and co-ordinating organizational system; strengthen the work base, struggle together for prevention and treatment; focus on the reform and innovation, and improve the long-term mechanism of tackling both the symptoms and the root causes and comprehensive control.

Liu stressed that we should further strengthen the "four consciousness", firmly establish the people-centered development thinking, strengthen the responsibility to play, firm confidence, unify and cooperate, and unswervingly fight the war against drug to escort the healthy development of city's economy and society and create a stable and peaceful social environment for the successful opening of 19th CPC National Congress.

Municipal Standing Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Law, and Deputy Director of Municipal Anti-drug Committee Liu Zhiwei, Vice Mayor, Director of Municipal Public Security Bureau and Deputy Director of Municipal Narcotics Control Committee Zhang Jun, Vice Chairman of Municipal CPPCC and Deputy Director of Municipal Drug Control Committee Li Xuelian, and Procurator General of Municipal People's Procuratorate and Deputy Director of Municipal Drug Control Committee Jiang Tao attended the meeting.
