On May 27, Municipal Standing Committee and Secretary of Municipal Law Liu Zhiwei and his entourage came to Xinpingshan Village Liyuan Town Yizhang County, and worked on the targeted poverty alleviation in the field.

It was understood that the Xinpingshan Village had a total of 298 households and 1511 people, and was in long-term poverty due to poor natural conditions and other causes. In November 2015, the poverty alleviation work group of the Municipal Commission helped the Xinpingshan Village to complete the poverty alleviation task. In 2016, there were 57 households and 218 people out of poverty in the 70 poor households and 242 poor people of whole village.

After the field research and listening to the relevant work report, Liu Zhiwei presided over the targeted poverty alleviation work meeting and affirmed the achievements of poverty alleviation work in the past two years. Liu Zhiwei pointed out it was an arduous task and a heavy responsibility to complete the goal of poverty alleviation in 2017. So we must continue to promote targeted poverty alleviation work, help 13 households and 24 people in the village out of poverty, and continue to help the poor villagers who have been out of the poor, to prevent the return of poverty. At the same time, in accordance with the Municipal Party Committee on the targeted poverty alleviation work of "1 +1" deployment, do a good job on the newly added poverty alleviation work in Pingshan Village.

On how to do a good job of poverty alleviation in 2017, Liu Zhiwei stressed the "five grasps" of grasping the grassroots Party building, grasping industrial projects, grasping infrastructure, grasping key helping and grasping the style construction. We should build a comprehensive and strong grass-roots Party organizations, focus on developing the characteristic industrial system, cultivate the "hematopoietic" function, and continue to bring income to the people to form the long-term poverty alleviation mechanism. For the poor households due to the illness and disability, we should strengthen social security and reflect the "blood transfusion" function.
