Recently, Linwu County had a strong rainfall affected by low altitude trough, low and middle layer shear and weak cold ground air. A total of 35 monitoring stations have monitored the rainfall in whole county, in which 12 stations monitoring the rainstorm, the county average rainfall of 60mm and the rainfall of Monkey River in Maishi Town of 112.6mm. Facing the severe situation of heavy rainfall at present, the three levels of county, town and village cooperated and carefully deployed and the cadres went down to grass roots to guide the flood control and disaster resistance work and actively respond to the main flood season in June.

The county strengthened the flood control guidance and paid special attention to the responsible person on duty, especially the implement of responsible persons in reservoirs, geological disasters and other key areas. At the same time, the departments and towns increased the hidden dangers investigation in key areas according to the actual work of flood prevention. The county also did a good job in flood control and disaster prevention publicity, forecasting, early warning, resettlement, emergency relief and other links and did a good job in reservoirs, mining enterprises and other defensive work to promote the flood prevention and hidden dangers investigation.

At present, the county has reserved 12 thousand cubic meters of flood sands and stones, 120 cubic meters of woods and 30,000 of woven bags. The flood control village loudspeakers in whole county broadcasted the flood control trends daily. At the same time, the county set up a more than 800 flood control and emergency rescue teams consisting of County People's Armed Forces, firemen and primary militias, and strictly implemented the 24 hours flood prevention duty system. The County Discipline Inspection Commission strictly cleared the flood control discipline, conducted the thorough investigation and carried out the responsibility investigation system.
