From June 19 to 20, the 24th Standing Committee Meeting of 11th Session of the Hunan CPPCC was held in Changsha. On the morning of the 19th, some members of CPPCC organizations and the cadres at the Chenzhou venue watched the speech stage.

It was understood that the "remote consultation" speeches were carried out at the speech stage and first webcast was made for the public. At the same time, this is the first thematic consultative standing committee meeting of provincial CPPCC in 2017 and the meeting carried out consultations on the theme of "implementing the strategy of opening up and building an open province". During the meeting, in addition to the review of routine research reports and proposals to the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, the meeting will also submit a report on democratic supervision, which is the first time in Hunan CPPCC. The reporters saw in the Chenzhou venue that a total of 12 provincial CPPCC members made the speeches, of which 8 members made the speeches in the main venue and 4 members made the speeches in the "remote consultation" video connection point.

The meeting thought that the strategy of "innovation lead, open and rising" is the only road, crucial move and radical strategy for the development of Hunan, is the key factor to carry out the "five major development concepts", but also is the key initiative to implement the "The Belt and Road". The meeting pointed out that we should give full play to the functional advantages and act as CPPCC to demonstrate the value of CPPCC in the strategy of "innovation lead, open and rising"; be a good think tank in consultation and discussion, focus on the major problems in the implementation of "innovation lead, open and rising", and actively offer advice and suggestions; build a "contact bridge" in the condensing forces to promote Hunan to better integrate into the country and the global pattern of development.
