From July 4 to 6, the Legislative Affairs Commission of Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee carried out the investigation on the related situation of grass-roots legislation contact points recommended by the county and municipal People's Congress Standing Committee.

In order to further promote the scientific legislation and democratic legislation, listen to the opinions and suggestions of the grass-roots organizations and the masses on the legislative work, and improve the quality of local legislation, the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee will set up a number of grass-roots legislative contact points in whole city. The 4th directors meeting of 5th Chenzhou Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee held on April 14 this year considered and adopted the "Chenzhou Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee grass-roots legislative contact point work system".

According to the requirements of "system", the recommended list of Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee grass-roots legislative contact points was formed after the recommendation by the county people's Congress Standing Committee and the preliminary examination by the Legislative Affairs Commission of Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, covering the towns (streets), government departments, residents' committees, enterprises, social groups and law firms, etc., to be the combination of representativeness and extensiveness, and theory and practice. During the investigation period, the investigation group had a better understanding for the work content and staff composition of the grass-roots legislation in the counties and cities, and stressed that the grass-roots legislative contact points should be set up to actively cooperate with the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee to carry out local legislative work, collect and reflect the opinions and suggestions on the local laws and regulations of grassroots organizations and the masses in time, participate in the legislative investigation on local laws and regulations and assist in propaganda work, to make the local legislation in our city be more targeted and operable.

It was understood that the Legislative Affairs Commission of Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee will recently submit the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee meeting to approve the grassroots legislation contact points list.
