On August 28, the relevant units and departments of Chenzhou Municipal People's Congress Environmental and Resources Protection Committee held a new forum on the implementation of "Surveying and Mapping Law of the People’s Republic of China".
It was understood that the new revised "Surveying and Mapping Law of the People's Republic of China" (hereinafter referred to as new "Surveying and Mapping Law") was adopted at the 27th session of the 12nd National People's Congress on April 27,2017, and came into effect on July 1st this year. At the meeting, the relevant units, departments and some NPC members made the positive statements on the implementation of the new "Surveying and Mapping Law", and made suggestions and comments combining with their own work. The promulgation and implementation of the new "Surveying and Mapping Law" is a new milestone in the legal construction of surveying and mapping geographic information in China and the surveying and mapping geographic information work is related to national sovereignty, security and interests. We must implement the new "Surveying and Mapping Law" to make due contributions to safeguarding national security and promoting the development of surveying and mapping geographic information.
The meeting required that we must conscientiously study and understand the spirit of the new "Surveying and Mapping Law", increase propaganda and constantly strengthen the awareness of leaders at all levels and all sectors of society on the importance of the implementation of the new "Surveying and Mapping Law"; should strengthen supervision, strengthen coordination, and strictly enforce the law and administration according to law to implement the regulations of the new "Surveying and Mapping Law".
Gao Aiguo, Deputy Director of Chenzhou People's Congress Standing Committee and Vice Mayor Li Wuyi attended the meeting.
