Recently, Yizhang County River Chief Office announced the list and contact number of 299 village river chiefs in the county government website, marking the full establishment of the village river chief system in the county. All the rivers, small reservoirs and main ponds in the whole county have the village river chiefs.

In order to further improve the river chief system and achieve the full coverage of county, township and village river chief system, the county issued the "Notice on speeding up establishment of village chief system" to require the whole county establishing the village river chief system and including the completion situation into the annual work assessment of river chief system. All river chief committees should quickly hold a village river chief work meeting to mobilize the deployment; organize special personnel to investigate the rivers, reservoirs and ponds, and set up a list of villages, rivers and lakes. Yizhang County has confirmed the village committee director or secretary as the village river chief, set up the village river chief public signs, publicized the river names, river length, river starting, river ending, village river chiefs, problems, rectification content and period, etc. to accept the supervision of the masses. At the same time, the county combining with clean rural areas and beautiful rural construction, has vigorously implemented the river reservoir cleaning and carried out the source control and rectification for dumping garbage along the rivers, completing the clear work for 6563 tons of aging garbage.
