On October 20th, our city held the administrative acceptance meeting of water ecological civilization city construction pilot, and smoothly passed the acceptance with a score of 91.2 after the site inspection and assessment by Acceptance Committee. Chen Mingzhong, Director of Water Resources Division of Ministry of Water Resources attended the meeting.

In 2013, our city was approved by the Ministry of Water Resources as the first national water ecological civilization city construction pilot, the pilot period from 2014 to 2016. In the past three years, our city has focused on construction of the water resources management, water ecological protection and restoration of the "six system", and paid close attention to the implementation of various tasks. At present, 94 projects of water ecological civilization construction in our city are preceding orderly, 47 pilot projects are completed and 25 pilot targets reach or exceed the target value.

After listening to the report of the pilot work and assessments of technology assessment group, the acceptance committee agreed that the pilot construction of Chenzhou city is with the characteristics of advanced concept, reasonable planning, solid work, remarkable innovation, outstanding characteristics and obvious demonstration significance. Our city has completed the defined tasks of the "Chenzhou water ecological civilization city construction pilot implementation plan" approved by Hunan provincial government and achieved the goal of construction

Chen Mingzhong fully affirmed the achievements of water ecological civilization construction pilot in our city, and pointed out that in order to further do a good job in the water ecological civilization construction, we should conscientiously implement the spirit of 19th National CPC Congress and continue to promote water ecological civilization construction; should firmly establish the basic concept of coexistence of mountains, rivers, forests and lakes, adhere to promote the system and let the masses have more sense of gain; should strengthen the awareness of water conservation, reasonably allocate water resources, and further strengthen the water resources protection and water ecological restoration work; should play the role of river chief system, establish and perfect the management, supervision and accountability mechanism to make the river chief system play an active role in protecting water resources, preventing water pollution and restoring water ecology.
