On the afternoon of November 14th, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Liu Zhiren chaired a forum on the Juncao poverty alleviation work. Liu Zhiren stressed to study and implement the 19th National Congress spirit, combine the Juncao industry with the rural revitalization strategy and poverty alleviation, and build the green ecological agriculture brands to further expand the scope of green industry in our city.

Juncao, also called sun grass, is with 16.93% of crude protein content, 26.8% of crude fiber and 21% of crude fat, 3 times as much as corn. The Juncao can develop as the edible and medicinal fungi, the feed for farming, poultry and fishery industries, and the fuel of bioenergy, fiber board, and paper pulp raw material and be used to control soil erosion, desertification, rocky desertification, mine ecological environment etc. At present, our city is planning to build Juncao demonstration bases in Guiyang and Anren City as poverty alleviation industry to develop.

Liu Zhiren pointed out that we should study and thoroughly understand the real spirit of 19th National Congress and put the spirit into practice; should promote the rural revitalization strategy through the projects, planning and technology, make breakthroughs in the beautiful countryside, characteristic towns and so on, and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas to let people live a better life as soon as possible; should resolutely win the war against poverty and actively explore the problems of poverty alleviation, relocation, mass satisfaction, sustained income increase of the masses and other issues to further enhance its own hematopoietic function.

Liu required the development of Juncao should be combined with the strategy of revitalizing the country. We should promote the use of the Internet, big data and artificial intelligence in rural economy and society, promote innovation and speed up the quality revolution, efficiency revolution and power revolution of the agricultural and rural economic development; should strengthen the training of new professional farmers, cultivate new agricultural management subjects, and accelerate the construction of knowledge type, skilled type and innovative new peasant teams to promote entrepreneurship; should encourage and explore the peasants' entrepreneurship, and make agriculture become a promising industry, farmers become an attractive occupation, and countryside become a beautiful home to live and work.

Liu required the development of Juncao should be combined with the poverty alleviation program. We should actively research and develop the profit, sales channels, distribution and other issues of Juncao industry to ensure the increase of farmers' income; should build the green ecological agriculture brands, do a good job in agricultural products wholesale markets and promote agricultural products to mobilize the enthusiasm of farmers.

Liu stressed that we should do a good job of Juncao industry development planning, take the development of animal husbandry as the overview, make full use of land and combine with poverty alleviation work; should introduce the guidance to support, promote and guide the development of Juncao industry; should do the pilot work of Juncao industry, promote the development of Juncao industry with experience, further increase the income of farmers and further expand the scope of the green industry in our city; should sign the framework agreement and strategic agreement with Juncao National Engineering Technology Research Center to promote the development of the green ecological industry in our city.
