Hunan launches 529 key projects worth 1.8 trillion yuan

529 key provincial investment projects launched by Hunan Development and Reform Commission, Department of Commerce of Hunan Province as well as related departments with a total investment of 1.8 trillion yuan show the increasing efforts to stabilize the investment in major projects and the economy. They are the first batch of key projects released by Hunan Province to attract social capital this year.
 
The key investment projects involve six categories including major equipment manufacturing, high-tech industry, modern service industry, modern agriculture and rural revitalization, traditional manufacturing and integration of industry and city, and major infrastructure, accounting for 9.8%, 24.7%, 27.4%, 6.0%, 21.0%, and 11.1%, respectively.
 
Most projects have a total investment of no less than 1 billion yuan, and 54 projects enjoy an investment of more than 10 billion yuan, accounting for 10% of the total projects. Among them, there are 71 projects in Zhuzhou City, ranking the first in the province.
 
The investment attraction this time mainly focuses on industrial projects. For example, Xujiaqiao Comprehensive Logistics Park with a total investment of 50 billion yuan in Yueyanglou District will introduce new logistics equipment of Jingdong Logistics and build the warehouse according to Jingdong’s logistics center “Asia No. 1”.
 
With a total investment of 50 billion yuan, Hunan (International) Green Construction Science and Technology Expo Park will coordinate the efforts of government and market, central and local governments, state-owned capital and social capital to create a Hunan model of “green construction” and an international name card of architecture.
 
Compared with 2021, the number of projects increased by 79 this year, with the total investment rising by 0.4 trillion yuan. Driven by the policies, the province has introduced 15 green development projects, 11 rural revitalization projects, and 59 major infrastructure projects. The number of pilot free trade zones increased from 12 in 2021 to 24 in line with the Belt and Road Initiative and the goal of creating a new hub for opening-up.
