Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People' Congress, delivered a speech after the completion of all the agenda.

 

The attendees were representatives of the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Congress and specially invited guests. There should be 743 representatives at this meeting, and there were 726 deputies present. The number of attendants constitutes a quorum.

 

The meeting was chaired by the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. Secretary Zhang Qingwei attended and gave a speech.

 

At the first plenary session, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, conveyed the main spirit of the CPC Central Committee's notice on the election of the CPC Hunan representatives for the 20th CPC National Congress. Zhu Guoxian, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, explained the selection of Hunan candidates for the 20th CPC National Congress.

 

The election method of the CPC Hunan Provincial Representative Conference was voted and passed at the session.

 

 

At the second plenary session, the CPC delegates from Hunan Province to attend the 20th CPC National Congress were elected. When the election results were announced, the attendees warmly applaused.

 

Provincial leaders and old comrades also attended, including Li Weiwei, Yang Zhengwu, Wang Keying, Hu Biao, Wang Shuangquan, Li Dianxun, Wu Guiying, Sui Zhongcheng, Xie Weijiang, Wei Jianfeng, Yang Haodong, Zhang Yingchun, Nan Xiaogang, and Liu Lianyu.
