Recently, China is facing a serious challenge in COVID-19 containment as the inbound cases and domestic resurgences continue to surge. In order to prevent infections and safeguard people's health, the Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention on October 6 gave the following suggestions:
1. Before entering Hunan, those who come or return to Hunan Province should report their itinerary one day in advance via the Hunan Health Code or the destination registration mini-programs. The local authorities should timely collect the information reported and strengthen contacts with the reporters. Anti-epidemic measures should be taken for those who come or return to Hunan Province in accordance with Protocol on Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (Edition 9).
2. Those who come or return to Hunan Province must provide negative COVID-19 nucleic acid testing results within 48 hours. They must take two nucleic acid tests in three days after entering Hunan: take the first nucleic acid test at railway stations, high-speed railway stations, bus stations, airports, transport and health service sites, or communities upon arrival, and take the second nucleic acid test on the third day after arriving in Hunan.
3. Those who come or return to Hunan from the areas with high risk of the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic should not attend gatherings, go to populated public places, and take public transport, before finishing two nucleic acid tests in three days. Those who come or return to Hunan from the areas with no risk of community transmission should avoid unnecessary gatherings, going to populated public places, and taking public transport, before taking two nucleic acid tests in three days.
4. Those who come or return to Hunan from high risk areas are required to undergo seven-day medical observation in isolation at designated sites and to take nucleic acid tests on the first, second, third, fifth, and seventh day. Those who come or return to Hunan from middle risk areas are required to undergo seven days of health monitoring at home and to take nucleic acid tests on the first, fourth, and seventh day.
5. Those who come or return to Hunan and have a travel history to the counties or districts with certain-range community transmission or epidemic control measures in a wide range of communities within the past seven days should undergo 7-day medical observation.
6. Those who come or return to Hunan and have a travel history to the counties or districts with the risk of community transmission or temporary static management areas within the past seven days should undergo 3-day medical observation and 4-day home health monitoring.
7. Those who come or return to Hunan from low-risk areas other than the above-mentioned areas should take two nucleic acid tests in three days and undergo health monitoring.
